This Privacy Policy describes how Self-Realization Fellowship Church (“SRF” “we”, “our”, or “us”) collect, use, disclose, store, and otherwise process personal data when you visit this website (the “Site”) or use our Services, and explains our practices for maintaining and protecting such information. This Privacy Policy also explains your choices for managing your information preferences, including opting out of certain uses of your Personal Information (defined below).
This Privacy Policy applies only to this event registration webpage and the services offered through it. Other SRF websites, pages, or services are governed by separate privacy policies, which apply when you visit or use those sites or services.
“You” as used in this Privacy Policy includes your child if your child has contact with SRF such as by registering for and participating in an event offered by SRF.

1. Information Squarespace Collects
This Site is hosted on the Squarespace platform. As a result, Squarespace collects certain information from visitors to this Site when you access or interact with it, including the following:
Information about your browser, network and device
Web pages you visited prior to coming to this website
Web pages you view while on this website
Your IP address

2. Information We Collect
Personal Information
We collect information that identifies you personally, such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, mobile phone number, email address, and other information you choose to provide to us or include in your account, if you create one (“Personal Information”). You may be asked to provide Personal Information when you create an account, make a purchase, register to attend an event, use this Site or our Services, or otherwise interact with us.
When you create an account or complete a transaction on this Site, we use Personal Information to process and fulfill such transactions, facilitate purchases or registrations, improve the checkout experience, and provide customer support. We share this information with Squarespace, our website hosting provider, to enable Squarespace to provide website hosting, payment processing, and related services on our behalf, and to assist us in managing our relationship with you. Correspondence and Communications
If you correspond with SRF by email, postal mail, or other forms of communication, we may retain such correspondence and the information contained in it. We use this information to respond to your inquiries, share SRF news or other SRF‑related information, improve our Site and Services, and for the other purposes described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not wish to receive such communications, you may indicate your preference not to be contacted by sending a letter, calling, or emailing SRF at the contact information provided below.
SRF uses a third‑party email service provider to send emails, including communications distributed through our email subscription and mailing lists. This provider may use cookies or similar tracking technologies within emails to understand how recipients interact with those communications. Additional information about these practices is available in the Online Tracking section of this Privacy Policy.
In addition to general communications, you may receive an automated email within 24 hours after you abandon your shopping cart if all of the following conditions are met:
• You enter your email address at checkout or are logged into your customer account.
• You add a product that is in stock to your shopping cart.
• You close your browser or leave this Site without completing your purchase.
You may unsubscribe from these messages using the link provided at the bottom of the email. These emails include a link back to this Site, allowing you to return to your cart and complete your purchase if you choose to do so.
Lastly, we may email you with messages about your order or account activity. For example, we may email you to tell you that:

It’s not possible to unsubscribe from these messages. We provide your contact information to Squarespace, our website hosting provider, so they can send these emails to you on our behalf and help us manage our relationship with you.

3. Information Squarespace Payments Collects
When you make a purchase from us on the Site, we use Squarespace Payments as our payment solution. Squarespace Payments is a fully integrated, native payment solution provided to us by our online service provider Squarespace. Squarespace Payments makes use of the following third-party service providers which will also receive your personal information and process it in accordance with their privacy policies:

Sift - fraud monitoring and detection services. You can read Sift’s privacy policy at https://sift.com/service-privacy.
We use Stripe for online payments, analytics, and other business services. If you choose to make a payment to us online, Stripe will collect personal data including via cookies and similar technologies. The personal data Stripe collects may include transactional data, payment card information, and identifying information about you and your devices that connect to its services. Stripe uses this information to operate and improve its services, including for fraud detection, loss prevention, authentication, and analytics related to the performance of its services.
4. Managing Your Information Preferences
You can review, correct, update, delete, or change your Personal Information through your customer account or by e-mailing us at info@yogananda-srf.org. You can also opt out of receiving certain e-mails and other communications from us through your account, by using the “unsubscribe” link in the e-mails. You are able to opt out of receiving most e-mails from us; however, you cannot opt out of receiving all e-mails from us, such as e-mails about the status of your account or orders. 5. How We Use Information and When We May Share and Disclose Information Generally
We use the information we collect, including Personal Information, either alone or in combination with other information, including information obtained from third parties, for the purposes described below. These purposes are necessary to perform our contract with you and provide the Services, or are otherwise based on our legitimate interests:
to provide you with the Sites and Services, including allowing you to purchase tickets, process orders and payments, provide customer support, and to send you account‑related alerts;
to better understand how users access and use our Site, Services, and programs, on both an aggregated and individualized basis, in order to maintain, support, and improve our Site, Services, and programs, respond to user preferences, and conduct research and analysis; and
to answer your questions and otherwise communicate with you about SRF.
We share Personal Information with our monastics, employees, and volunteer staff as necessary to provide the Services and carry out our operational and religious purposes. We do not disclose Personal Information to third parties for their own direct marketing or commercial purposes without your consent, except as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
6. Service Providers
We share Personal Information with our authorized service providers that perform certain services on our behalf (“Service Providers”). We provide our Service Providers with only the information necessary for them to perform services on our behalf. Each Service Provider must agree to use reasonable security procedures and practices, appropriate to the nature of the information involved, in order to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Service Providers are prohibited from using Personal Information other than as specified by us.
7. Online Tracking
We use third parties to enhance the functionality of our Sites and Services, including sending our e-mails, collecting and processing online payments, and helping to display video or other content on our Site. The third parties we use may set cookies and use other tracking technology to collect certain information when you visit the Sites and use the Services or interact with our e-mails. Our systems do not recognize browser “Do Not Track” signals.

We do not share your Personal Information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
9. Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement
We cooperate with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We may disclose Personal Information and any other information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties if, in our discretion, we believe it is necessary or appropriate in order to respond to legal requests (including court orders and subpoenas), to protect the safety, property, or rights of SRF or of any third party, to prevent or stop any illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity, or to comply with the law.
10. Be Careful When You Share Information with Others
Please be aware that whenever you share information on any public area of the Site or Services that information may be accessed by others and the public. That information may be further passed along or further made public by others. This means that anyone with access to such information can potentially use it for any purpose, including sending unsolicited communications.

However, we cannot and do not guarantee the security of any information you transmit on or through the Site or Services and accept no liability for any unintentional disclosure or misuse.

13. Children’s Privacy
The Site and Services are intended for users who are 13 years old or older. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received Personal Information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete such information from our records. California users under the age of 18 may request the removal of their content or information publicly posted on the Sites or Services by e-mailing us at info@yogananda-srf.org. Please note that complete and comprehensive removal of the content may not be possible.
14. Processing in the United States
SRF is located in the United States. Please be aware that when you provide your Personal Information, visit our Site, use our Services, or communicate with us, you are transferring your Personal Information to the United States. Thus, your Personal Information and communications may be transferred to and maintained on servers or databases located outside your state, province, or country. If you are located outside of the United States, we process and store all information in the United States. The laws in the United States may not be as protective of your privacy as those in your location. By using the Site or Services, you are agreeing to the collection, use, transfer, and disclosure of your Personal Information and communications being governed by the applicable laws in the United States.
15. Privacy Policy Changes
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we decide to change this Privacy Policy, we will inform you by posting the revised Privacy Policy on the Site. Those changes will go into effect on the “Revised” date shown in the revised Privacy Policy. By continuing to use the Site or Services, you are consenting to the revised Privacy Policy.
